Rent Gear
1) Click “Create Account.”
2) Build your cart, select your pick-up appointment time, and submit your request. Maine GearShare staff will follow-up to confirm your reservation and appointment time.
3) Pick up and return your gear at our location in Brunswick, Maine.
Rentals of 5 or more days will receive a 15% discount off your total rental price. Discount is taken upon checkout.
You are responsible for gear that is lost or damaged due to negligent use. Our Gear Library staff inspects each piece of gear when it is returned, and gear replacement prices are shown for each item in our inventory.

Say you’re getting ready for a camping trip, and you realize you need a tent, sleeping bag, stove, good pair of boots, and new raincoat.
It would cost you $777 to purchase these items for a one-night camping trip.
It costs you $48 to rent them from Maine GearShare.
In turn, that $48 covers gear access for two people through our mission-drive work to expand access to the outdoors.
