Dan Wernig

With over 15 years of experience in the nonprofit sector, Dan Wernig serves as the Senior Director of Program at Climb Hire, where he is advancing social and economic justice through innovative workforce development programs. A New Hampshire native who grew up in the Lakes Region, he spent more than a decade building their expertise in Chicago before returning to New England; now residing in Portland with his partner Shelby and two dogs Madonna and Rosa. Growing up in New Hampshire's Lakes Region, he spent over ten years in Chicago before coming back to New England. He now lives in Portland with his partner, Shelby, and two dogs, Madonna and Rosa. When not working to create pathways to economic opportunity for underserved communities, Dan can be found skiing or hiking in the mountains they've loved since childhood.
